You know that feeling you get in your gut, or chest, that feels really icky....

It’s called anxiety...

You feel it sometimes when something happens...

but sometimes you feel it when nothing happens.. it just creeps up when you are sleeping, resting, driving... there seems to be no cause...

It’s actually very confusing... but also very scary... especially when it leads to panic attacks, heart & chest pain, difficulties breathing & migraines...

What I’ve learnt from treating people with anxiety, is that almost 100% of suffers actually have anxiety that stems from their childhood...

When I say childhood, I actually mean as babies...

When we go into the person’s subconscious, we find that the anxiety stems from when they were a helpless baby... a baby who could hear sounds that felt scary to them... but they can’t move... they can’t protect themselves... they can’t escape.. because they are tiny babies...

From that moment, the baby creates a coping mechanism to deal with their fears... this begins with the belief... I’m helpless, I can’t do anything, Im hopeless, Im abandoned... I’m not safe... gosh there are so many beliefs that I’ve found babies create from being defenceless...

Then they segment themselves to try and deal with it... again they each have different processes that they use to get through...

This carries on through life... into adulthood...

Until the belief they are carrying becomes too much, the body will try and reject this belief when the obvious adult becomes capable.. by reacting with anxiety..

It’s very interesting... and beautiful reconnecting ourselves to the babies we were... the scared babies we were in the crib, rocker... it brings up a lot of deep sadness...

Then we go through a process where you, the adult, soothes and comforts the baby... the adult you tells the baby that what you thought was scary, isn’t scary at all... we can see clear as day what was really going on... and we take a frightened scared baby to a relaxed, safe, aware and trusting baby... one who understands the world just that little bit more... and an adult who no longer has to freak out physically, emotionally and mentally...

Connecting to suppressed memories is deeply emotional and extremely beautiful...

All the pieces just come back together... xxx
